We take you along on our field herping adventures as we search for reptiles and amphibians. Herping (or Field Herping) is a slang word for the hobby of searching for reptiles and amphibians. It derives its name from herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians.

🅰: Yes. Sometimes with non-venomous snakes, never by a venomous snake.

🆀 : How can I get into herping?
🅰: Check local organizations (e.g., zoos, universities, herpetology clubs), see if they can put you in touch with other local herpers. Online forums, search for herping.
