I am a 61 year old who found herself making a lifelong dream come true back in 2008 when I was able to go to college full-time, graduate Summa Cum Laude & then go to grad school and graduate with distinction. I have to say that going to college was the single most empowering, enriching, & positive experience of my entire life. I am married to a wonderful guy who is retired from the military & the EPA, after dedicating 40 years of his life to cleaning up environmental disasters & catastrophes like 9/11, the Challenger crash, the F5 destruction in Joplin, MO & Greenwood, KS, etc. He is my hero! I have a 33 year old son who I adore & an “unofficial” son who has been my son’s best friend since high school, & he has graciously allowed me to be a grandma to his precious 3 1/2 yr old &1 month old daughters who have brought our family SO much joy I can’t express it in words! I have been so blessed, & even though I am officially a Senior Citizen, I am still 30 in my heart & head!
