About Miss A's Place

Hello and welcome to my kitchen, also known as Miss A's Place! I have been cooking for 20 years and am completely self-taught. My love for food began when I was 16 and got my first job as a server. I loved feeding people, garnishing the plates, and seeing how happy people would be when their food was delivered. I never worked in the kitchen, but I always paid close attention to the techniques the chefs used, the ingredients, and my favorite part, the presentation. I picked up so much knowledge over the years, and cooking has now become one of my biggest passions!

I began cooking at home at the age of 18, learning by reading cookbooks and watching cooking shows on TV. It wasn't until I got a job in a fine dining restaurant that my knowledge truly expanded and I began to understand the importance of proper seasoning and technique, quality of ingredients and how to use fresh herbs. Cooking is an art form, and when you understand it, you can truly create magic! Anyone can cook!
