I’m Stuart “Dug” McClure, and as you might suspect from the channel name, I’m here primarily for the Metal Detecting videos. I live in Upstate South Carolina and took up metal detecting in the fall of 2018 as my retirement hobby. I currently swing the Minelab Equinox 600.

So as not to disappoint anyone wishing to subscribe to my channel, I do NOT create metal detecting content at this time. It simply would detract from the time I have available to get out and dig. But I sincerely appreciate all of the great Detectorists who take the time to shoot, edit, and upload content for our enjoyment. I’m happy to get to know you and comment on your videos.

To explain the videos that are here - I created my YT channel in 2010 primarily for personal and family purposes. Consequently, here you can see some of my mother’s journey through Alzheimer’s, and my passion for live acoustic music and the people who create it.
