About NYU Vocaholics

The Vocaholics are NYU's fiercest a cappella group! We sing a variety of contemporary songs, ranging from The Strokes and Daft Punk to Miley Cyrus and Florence + The Machine. We have members from all across NYU, in several different majors and programs. We aim to cultivate a diverse group of singers and friends who share a love of performing. At the beginning of the 2016-17 school year, we announced that we had decided to become a gender-inclusive a cappella group rather than an all-male one. In the 2019-2020 school year, we officially changed from a gender inclusive TTBB group to an SATB group. We strive to constantly grow and improve, and we pride ourselves in our openness to change and development. We've competed for many years in the International Championship for Collegiate A Cappella and have advanced to semi-finals multiple years, winning special awards along the way. The Vocaholics eagerly look forward to the prospects and challenges of the future.
