I am The Backwards African, aptly named after being told that I do not behave or live a genuine African lifestyle- whatever that means.
I was encouraged to create this channel after many people told me I had an interesting life story. I want to bring you along on my journey as I navigate as I go through life with mental health issues, a love for nail art and design, cooking and organising. There is so much that they don't teach in school, and I would have loved to know these things before leaving the nest to live on my own this past year. I have also experienced homelessness (I use this term loosley for myself as I have never had to sleep on the streets, but sofa surfed for three months) through no fault of my own at 18, and I want to tell my story and raise awareness for the struggles that I had getting a home for myself.
