I'm Jimi Jones, the founder of Thai Rehab Helper.

My sobriety date is May 26, 2012. My substances of choice were Xanax, Ritalin and alcohol.

I grew up in a good family but thought that using prescription drugs or anything I could buy at the store would be ok. I always thought that I was not really breaking any rules or doing any damage to anyone other than myself - that seems fine, right?

In the end I lost it all – there was no money left but I couldn’t stop using. My life became one big lie and I was hiding the extent of my addiction from everyone close to me. Today my life is honest and true. I don’t have the material things I once did but I'm happy!

The best part of recovery is the ability to feel good about the person that I am and have become. I had never felt that before in my life. I owe all of that to my recovery.
