Honorable was taken. As a freshman, making the varsity squad was destiny. Summer of 8th grade eye took it upon myself to be ready for a tryout. Providence shined upon me 1st day of practice. I was on the JV side. Then, Jonny M came over & said Coach needs 2 players. I quickly grabbed my spot. Out of best of 10 shoot-out, I scored 7, missing 1 Lf. 1 Rt. & 1 over the bar. Goalie, Hyme Barahas, excelente, didn't touch any. During the season, I scored many goals with limited pitch time and the 1st goal during the coveted Lions Cup match vs. EU. East Union. Coach put me in, I scored, Coach took me out. Jesse A. scored goal #2 for a 2-1 win. MHS took home the Lions Cup. Yr end, Coach chose me for the Honorable Mention. A few years later, 85, AYSO, w my bro. Mike on Corona Soccer's I scored the game winning goal in OT from the left corner. A cornerkick goal.

I called it in overtime 2-1.
