Vatican in the House and Americans welcome Pope Benedict XVI! Truly, an exhilarating host preparation is well on the way. Barely two weeks since the celebratory event of the new cathedral, and Catholics will gather once more to bestow honor upon âpapaâ, âVicar of St. Peterâ, âBishop of Rome,â according to Catholic tradition. Along with security fit for papal supremacy; an array of festive pomp and pious stance will be the order of the day. He that is of noble chance, may he attend the gala. Pope Benedict voyage to Washington and New York will span a period of five days. And as spectacular as the dedication of the Co-Cathedral, I can imagine the Popeâs reception.  A supreme, glorious affair shall the Pontiff of Rome receive.  On April 3rd, People all over the world came to Houston to pay homage in the dedication of the new Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. That Thursday morning, even the weather appeared sacred as the bluish-gray clouds drooped downtown. Africans; actors and statesmen, legislators and foreign envoys were the prestige and chosen few that attended the dedication. The Media surrounded the cathedral. Following the four-hour ceremony, Romeâs Vatican flair filled the streets. The tribute led to a procession with the fraternity of knights draped in capes, swords held in a Masonic custom. The knights led the way of cardinals, archbishops, and priests. Religious participants dressed in colorful vibrant robes strolls the streets in an abstract formation. With a hint of classical antiquity, you see the dukes of knights leading and protecting the early Roman church of friars and monks on holy pilgrimages. The dedication assembly displayed an artistry of excellence. Awe and wonder was the expressions of the crowd; me too. I awed and wondered. It was absolutely beautiful; a good day; shared a humorous pleasantry with a movie star, recognized a couple of Catholic priests that Iâd seen on the campus of University of St. Thomas. They passed by; I nodded and glint a smile. Thusly, my fascination of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is the masonry, intricately interwoven in the pattern and the structure of the edifice. Antiquity speaks; Herman Fifer, my photo partner captured the voice of the stone carved on the cathedral walls. Catholics marveled at the dedication of the Co-Cathedral, and graced adulation to Daniel Cardinal Nicholas DiNardo, whom Herman describes as âthe man who walks behind the robeâ. DiNardo was elevated to sacred Cardinal status in November, 2007. A showcase of Medieval Europe is the essence of the pomp and circumstance displayed in the video. Please, check out Sequel 1, and Sequel 2. Perhaps; you will capture a message or a symbol etched in stone on the walls of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart; please share it with me. Iâm curious. The stone is in sequel 2. Tell me what you see as you watch the video.
