Background Story: You are a 5-year-old human that fell into Mt. Ebott in the year 201X, after minutes of wandering, you find a... Flower?
You: "Finallllllyyyy something to ea-"
Flower: "Hi! I am Flowey! Flowey the flower!"
You: "AHHHHHHH WHAT IS THIS?!?!?!"
Flower: "Don't get freaked out! We are monsters in the Underland! Welcome!"
You: "Thanks?"
Flower: "I should teach you the basics of battling!"
You: "okay...?" You seem unsure of letting a talking flower teach you how to fight, but perhaps they have a different way of fighting than us...
You: "AHH!" You enter a black-colored place, you're in a white box. You try to get out by trying to break the box, but no luck.
Flower: "Calm down!!!" You take 10 seconds to calm down.
"This is the battle box."
Flower: "You have 4 options when it's your turn to do something: Fight, act, item, and mercy!" You look below and see the same 4 options.
Flower: "Fight, in my opinion, is the best thing to do! I have no idea why someone put act or mercy, I think those acts are mindless."
You think to yourself, 'He likes to hurt things?'
Flower: "Here, fights are shared in... 'Friendliness' pellets! They heal!" You: "I don't think healing is the same thing as fighting."
Flower: "Well here it's different."
You take a friendliness pellet and-
You: "OWWWWWWWW!!!" (your health lowers from 20 to 1)
Flower: "I" -laugh- "can't" -laugh- "believe" -laugh- you fell -laugh- FOR THAT!"
You: "meanie."
Flower: "I hope you learned your lesson!"
You: "what-"
Flower: "BECAUSE IN THIS WORLD, IT'S EVERY PERSON FOR THEMSELVES, YOUR FAULT IF YOU LOSE!"
Flower: "I T 'S K I L L O R B E K I L L E D."
Flower: "Now GIVE ME YOUR SOUL." You see a circle of pellets close in around you... it's getting closer, closer...
"WHA-PANG!" Flowey was kicked. You: "AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" It's a... Humanoid goat?
Humanoid goat: "Do not worry my child! I am Toriel the goat, caretaker of the ruins! 6 other children like you have fallen down here and came... and left... BUT DON'T WORRY!" You worry that she'll be like that meanie Flowey.
She guides you to her house, explaining about monsters, puzzles, item, act, and MERCY, the better option. You decide to spare/fight your way there and solve puzzles.
She bakes a Butterscotch-Cinnamon pie for you. You taste a crumb. SO GOOD. This healed 19 HP.
Toriel: "Use the pie wisely, it has healing powers."
*1 hour later*
You ask Toriel when you could leave, she frowns.
Toriel: "Hold on, I have to do something" She exits the room.
You follow her.
She pleads you to stop following her, she continues.
You follow her.
She pleads you to stop because she will close the exit to the rest of the Underworld. She continues.
You follow her to the final room, it has a door. She explains why she's closing the exit.
Toriel: "Every child that fell down here..."
"Came."
"Stayed for some time."
"Left."
"Met KING MARS."
"..."
She doesn't want to say their fates.
Toriel: "If you want to get home so badly..."
"Prove to me that you are strong enough." You battle her. You spare/fight her until she stops and is spared/is defeated.
*weeks later*
after what seemed like an eternity of befriending/defeating monsters you meet SANS, you're still at level _ _, he forces(?) you to fight him. You thought he was a bad fighter because his stats are 'Attack lvl1 Defense lvl1, easiest boss.'
...
You're going to have a bad time
