Scratch's Timeline

---Hello, and welcome to Scratch's Timeline!---

Whatever made you want to click this project, thanks so much!

---How to Use (even though it's pretty simple)---

Use space, right arrow, or tap (mobile) to go to the next slide. Read the slides and hopefully be entertained.

---Disclaimer---

I'm aware that tons of people have made super similar projects to this. I'm not trying to copy them, I actually came up with this idea myself, started working on it, and then realized 20 other people were doing the same thing. I'm also aware that the theme looks kind of like @Leiiani's projects. I didn't copy, I was just really inspired XD.

This project is nowhere close to perfect, so feel free to comment something for me to change/make better! Just don't be rude. Also, if anything is offensive/mean, let me know immediately and I'll change it.

---Log---
12/18: Created project and started working on the timeline.
12/19: Made it through 2012 with a VERY rough version of the Scratch Updates/additions, etc.
12/21-12/30: On vacation. Or at least, that's my excuse. I don't know, I was just unmotivated for a week. Still am, but I'm forcing myself to work.
12/31: Worked a little and then got distracted and then frustrated by the aesthetic element, which obviously shouldn't matter but whatever. Calling it a day.
1/1: Didn't really do much tbh.
1/2: Devoted an entire day to themes, promising myself that I would be content after that and could get back to normal research.
1/3: After considering tons of things from online images to vector scenes to even Scratch's built in backdrops, I finally settled on this slightly @LeiIani - inspired black and white theme. Converted all of the slides I'd made before to the new theme. Fiiiiinnnnaaaaaalllllyyy finished adding all of the Scratch Updates/general info stuff from the wiki. Added a bunch of other stuff and "fun facts" too. And then questioned whether the black and white theme was too boring for a project that's supposed to be celebrating. But kept it anyways. Or anyway. Or however you're supposed to spell it. And then questioned why I made this entry so long. Did so much I finally finished the project and shared it. I don't know why, I just randomly get bursts of enthusiasm at random times XD
1/4: 71 views overnight??!? This is insane.
1/10: 500 views woohoo!
1/12/: 700 viewsssss... This might become my most viewed project!!!
1/13: 16 views away!
1/14: most viewed project! can we break 800?
1/16: No longer the most viewed, because one of my other projects was curated.
1/17: 800 views!

---Sources---

(not in MLA format because this isn't school) (why am I even citing sources anyways?)

@cs2385244 for finding the 5000000th account

https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_Timeline : The official Scratch timeline. Suuuuper helpful!

https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_Versions : Also on the Wiki, also pretty helpful.

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/349646763/ : The project where I found scratchstats.com , which was really helpful in finding which scratchers to include.

scratchstats.com : A website that gives stats about Scratchers. Also really good for stalking people, but that's not what we're talking about right now XD

And of course all of the profiles of the scratchers mentioned in this project!

---This was a really long description lol---
