The White Room — A Psychology Experiment

The backstory:
I first head about this experiment (it's not actually called The White Room) on a Radiolab podcast called Words. You can find it at: http://www.radiolab.org/story/91725-words/ . The podcast, in short, was about the question: do we need language to think? It described this experiment, and many other cases, like a deaf man who was never taught sign language.

I'd like to thank Charles Fernyhough, who came up with the experiment (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong), and Elizabeth Spelke, who studied its effects on babies.
