People like to say that Montreal is always in constant roadwork and that there are orange cones everywhere. Mostly true! The winter causes water trapped under the roads to freeze and expand which makes it crack. Sometimes, after many winters, cracks become potholes and that can cause damage to tires, so the road has to be fixed.
