I understand what you're saying about the "calm" of the Japanese garden, but to me it seems like more work to maintain the style. The more colorful English Garden, though I know has a lot of planning just like all gardens, doesn't seem like it would be as much work and therefore is more calming to me. The Japanese Garden requires $$$, so over the top for me.

Thank you for a lovely and interesting video. English cottage garden always was/is my favorite. I wish I could have thatched roof to go with it, but insurance company won't insure this type of a roof.

Thanks so much for your video. It is such a great guide to design! I recognise the ornamental grass garden that you have at 22.50... I think it's at the Irish national botanic gardens in Glasnevin Dublin. Could be wrong! I regularly go there. If you see the top right hand corner, there is a sequoia tree, which unfortunately has now died; cause unknown. It is a small part of a much larger space; well worth a visit!
