Her campaign released the video of the conversation she had with the Obamas.
Obama posted this on social media solidifying his support for Harris.
"Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @Kamala Harris. We told her we think she'll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has out full support. At this critical moment for our country we're going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you'll join us."
In a written extract of the full call shared by the campaign, Obama also warns that the Democrats face a rocky road to victory. “We’re gonna be underdogs, you know,” he says. “and you are gonna have to continue, as you said, to, to earn, not just the nomination but earn the trust of, of folks all across this country.”

No Roland it should not have been quicker because it was important for him to show respect to Joe Biden who was his VP for 8 years. It would have been disrespectful for Obama to do it any sooner.

I am really sick of people getting mad at the Obama's for endorsing Kamala on their time. I believe they probably endorsed her maybe that same day I think, they just wanted to shoot that video. BTC noted in another video that the Obamas likely called her the same day she was on stage in IL; he even shared that she was wearing the same outfit when she got the call and when she went on stage. The campaign may have just waited to keep the enthusiasm going.
