I seriously play this song on repeat sometimes. The 2nd half to the song is just so good.
  • That guitar part that comes in around 1:05 reminds me of some of those amazing melodies Steve Hackett played on Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
  • The very first time I had ever heard this song I completely fell to pieces and just allowed myself a good hearty fucking sob....Hot tears, snotty nose, ugly as fuck cry face and everything....And then I listened to it, about 18 more times, over and over and over again. This song found me at the exact point in time that i needed to hear it. God damn y'all....Thank you!!!

All great tracks improve upon repeat listenings. The harmonisation of the different elements between one's ears allows for ever diverse interpretations. Like, say, you hear a track through speakers and then through headphones, it can sound like a totally new phenomenon. Love Deerhunter and the singer's solo project, Atlas Sound.

another masterpiece from these guys, along the lines of Desire Lines
  • Take care Lift the guard and you might find Your place in that life A place where you found hope There’s nothing more than the fog from the dry ice burning Corpses turning Take care Lift the guard you won’t be lonely Too much longer Too much longer… Raise your crippled hand into the clouds and Wave bye bye now Wave bye bye bye Raise your hands around and you can’t tell it’s the last thing you’ll see Last thing you’ll play Hopeless when you call “Hi! Hi.” What is it you’re after? don’t just stand there Oh… Oh

Some guy I used to know showed me this band while I was in Army basic training and I immediately clicked with them.

It always blew my mind that they used a John Divola photo for this album
