Tbh I’m not sure how people find the Mario Odyssey Dragon to be creepy, I think he’s just badass
  • To me,honestly most of these were like "what the hell is that" rather than getting creeped out.
  • @rubenmorck
Wario's first boss looks like a disappointed Kirby
  • Kirby either fights backrooms monsters or other cute things, sometimes both but never neither there is no in-between

It's funny to see Giratina on here when that scene isn't even connected to its boss fight, which is considerably milder. Shame they didn't recreate that scene for PLA but then again, "GIRATINA, STRIKE THEM DOWN!" is pretty damn terrifying. Especially with how much we had trusted that character until about five minutes ago.
  • 5:19 I'm honestly impressed by the fact that Poo was able to mirror Heavily Armed Pokey.

Earthbound/Mother, Legend of Zelda, Metroid and Kirby definitely know how to make creepy or downright disturbing enemies
  • @Winter8053
Tbh most of these weren’t that creepy. Like Dark Souls Dragon and the Fish were just shocking to see in Mario. Though some entries like Giygas and Dead Hand are nightmare fuel

Never forget Mimi from Super Paper Mario, they managed to combine the horror film neck snap, spiders, and an invincible boss all into one package...lol
  • 10 year old me was not ready for the dead hand in Ocarina of Time. The piano in Mario 64 was also terrifying lol, but wasn't not a boss.
  • @drascia
I would've definitely been a bit salty if Giygas wasn't included. That boss is... quite possibly the most horrifying video game boss imo.

For me personally, Tabuu from Smash bros brawl creeped me out as a kid. Something about seeing this weird humanoid being that I think just wipes out master hand like its nobody's business then shapeshifts into all these weird shapes to attack. It just felt off to me

Metroid has some scary ones like crocomire and the death scene is pretty creepy

13:20 Good to see Mad Jack on this list. His appearance and the boss music scared me so much as a child that it took me years to come back to it and finally beat him. Nowadays, I find him hilarious and cool.

The scariest thing about kingfin is when you realize you have to fight a boss with galaxy's horrible underwater controls
  • I've always loved the music that plays during the final battle with Bowser in Yoshi's Island. The opening chords when he's rising up in the background always gives me chills.

You didn't mention the fecto forgo boss from kirby and the forgotten land. It's also scary as hell
  • The creepiest thing for me is still the Giratina jump-scare, as I saw it for a brief moment in a commercial as a kid. However... I still think the Zombie Dragons (and Duma FE SoV/ Gaiden) from Fire Emblem, and the ambient background noises from Splatoon boss fights are pretty creepy.
  • For me, it was the true final encounter if Andross from Starfox 64 that got me. The fight starts as normal, but then Andross turns into a giant floating brain with massive eyes that detach from himself, all while this mass is tendrils writhes underneath the brain. I wasn't ready for that as a kid.

for me, when i was a kid (4-7) giygas, majora’s wrath, and the sewer hand monster from zelda gave me really bad nightmares
