You're still scratching the surface with these guys........they won't let you down. The real Crime of the Century is that they aren't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“The problem is not that people are uneducated. The problem is that they are educated just enough to believe what they’ve been taught. And not educated enough to question what they’ve been taught.” Unknown

Tramp is one of the most underrated and ahead of their time bands of the 70's. Hands down of the Top 10 best bands of the 70's
-
That entire album "Crime Of The Century" is worth listening to. Each song tells a different part of a story. What that story is can only be determined by the listener.
-
I wore out more than a few copies of this on vinyl. I think I first heard this in '75, hooked ever since.
-
One of eight masterpiece songs from their masterpice album. Still fresh, still interesting, 49(!)years later
-
“These dudes are dope.” Yup.

So glad you guys are enjoying what guys my age call, "our music". I mean it's been nearly 50 years since they became one of my fave bands of all time! Damn. But I've been blessed to be able to pull this out and listen to CotC all of these years. I always said if Elton John and Pink Floyd had a baby (even though they were contemporaries w/Supertramp) it would be Supertramp. They're serious, but take wild flights of fancy... they're fun, but with great chops. Just a pure joy to listen to Crisis What Crisis, CotC (this album), Breakfast in America, Even in the Quietest Moments ( 😍) Best to you guys, as always!

The piano break in this song is everything.

My favorite Supertramp LP; “Hide in Your Shell” is another spectacular track. I would have never made the Daft Punk connection…that’s what makes these inter-generational reactions so fun! 👍
-
I love the drums rolls together with the piano, and then the piano solo explosion. Imo Crime of the Century was (by far) Supertramp's best album.
-
Their sound production has always been top tier, not just on their albums, but they were the few band who cared enough to do top notch sound production during their concerts. Other bands that came to mind that was top notch was Yes and The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Robert Plant: they are cared about their music, and were fussy with their sound production.

Hands down my all time favorite Supertramp song. Still gives me goosebumps a half century later.

Guys, listen to Supertramp song Even in the quietest Moments, think you’ll enjoy it. The fact you listen so closely and appreciate this band speaks volumes to your musical experience and intelligence Love you guys ! 👍

Do the whole bloody album... a masterpiece from beginning to end.... to me it ranks with Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon...

Absolutely loved your reaction! I have been waiting for you guys to get to "School". This was the first song I ever saw them play live and I was hooked and turned so many people onto this band. The first time I saw them in concert was on this tour and they came out and played this album start to finish in order. That was the show, and the crowd was in awe. Hopefully you do all of this album and then the Crisis What Crisis album before you jump into their other albums. Enjoy the journey gentlemen because it will be a hell of a ride!

Love that 70's technology, you can still hear the tape hiss, even in the quietest moments. LOL. "School" is my favorite song off of COTC, except, "Asylum", "Hide In Your shell", "Bloody Well Right" and...

Supertramp was on my Mom's regular rotation. Whenever I heard that harmonica intro start, us kids knew the house was getting cleaned from top to bottom that day! Good memories.

Crime of the Century is a all time great album.

They would start their concerts with this song
