The mom whose baby went limp in her arms on a stifling plane last month is speaking out about the day she thought she was losing her 4-month-old son. "The plane was an oven with wings," Emily France told Inside Edition. Her ordeal started when she and her baby, Owen, got on a United Airlines flight in Denver, headed to El Paso. "When I boarded I noticed how hot it was immediately and I started putting wet wipes on Owen to try to keep him cool," she recalled. #InsideEdition

So if you leave your baby in a hot car it’s abuse but United Airlines does this and it’s all good??
  • She would be charged with child endangerment if she had kept the child in a car that was this temperature, so how does an airline get away with this without at least being fined!

“And when we needed karen the most, she vanished”
  • @caicaicaity
I hope she sued the living daylights out of United
  • @iamsyrah
I swear United airlines needs to get shut down

The way she said..." Pls don't go" shattered me to billion pieces.
  • I was flying international once and this happened the airplane was hot, they turned us around right away, deplaned us into an air conditioned bus, then delayed us until we got another plane with proper ac. It's not hard to do your best, american is not cheap for you to get this treatment.

Ridiculous. They charge an arm and a leg and don't even have the proper temperature

That is frightening! Even if the baby survives, there can be permanent brain damage.
  • It's not just child endangerment though, it's risking EVERYONES lives.
  • I have never understood why airlines will board passengers knowing they're not ready to take off yet. Just hold off on loading everyone until you know you're good to go! I have been stuck on a hot plane before, sounded like the exact same scenario. I am 100% on this woman's side. Anyone else would have charges brought upon them (and rightfully so) if they had their child in a car at these same temperatures for the same amount of time. But it's ok when it's an airplane? Hell no.

That's so wrong. She should sue. Her baby was boiling in his skin. I feel so bad for this mother. I really do hope Baby Owen is okay.

“they’re working to prevent something like this from happening again” my ass , they always say they’re gonna fix their problems but it’s just the same thing over and over again.

I live in a developing country (others call it third-world) and all the planes I've been on for local and international flights have always had the AC on while we boarded and waited for take off.
  • “Please don’t go……… “ I can only imagine the pain and fried the poor mother was feeling as she was holding her poor limp baby at the time……… I’m just glad that her sweet little angel survived, and I pray that he does not have any brain damage nor other long-term effects.

At least they didn't drag the baby off the plane

Wise words : A mother knows! Our kids could be miles away and a mother will always know when something is wrong with there child. God bless this baby boy, glad he's doing well!

She seems like an amazing mother. She could tell when he started having issues and she also noted that it could cause future problems and she's keeping an eye on him.
