  • Glad to see you’re still grinding these out. In a world turning too fast you took time to cook an opinion and I appreciate that.
  • Hopefully season 2 will come out the gate even stronger!
  • wtf this is so well edited for how many subscribers you have, you earned my sub!

Just because we're on the topic of Netflix adaptations of anime, I'm curious to see your analysis of the Live Action One Piece fights. While I feel there isn't an explicit display of traditional martial arts, I think there was som neat choreography at play there!

DUDE, I love these videos! So dense with both martial arts AND filmmaking info, pretty amazing stuff and hmmm... Samurai Champloo next? I want to hear your thoughts on the crazy difference in sword styles haha

Would LOVE to see you analyze the original ATLA
  • I haven’t watched this live action, but from what I’ve seen from snippets, Chinese wuxia, though far from perfect effects and fighting wise, is much more convincing.
  • Lol not the Northern Water Tribe being a Mcdojo Tribe

Would love an analysis on the original show's fights. I'm just kind of a casual observer of martial arts, but to me something about those hits different. Even though it's rare for anyone to actually sustain damage, the fights feel so... Kinetic? I'm sure the framing and shot compositions help too. Bonus points if you can somehow apply analysis to the firebending masters in the episode of the same name :'D
  • Usually don't comment on videos, but. (Also disclaimer: only watched this show via youtube cause I had no hope, still don't.) Why are these camera angles so freaking close! It's so hard to tell what is going on cause the camera is right up in the actors faces during the fight scenes.
