Great show. I wonder why all podcasts go to Apple when we could watch here much easier .

Tommy they want you to run hard whether the ball is yours or not. Doesn't matter where you are on the field to where the ball will end up. Teams are expecting all defensive players to be active on every play, if its not yours, you have to go to back up position. Just a FYI, because you are a great player and knowledge is like gold.

I am a long time Met fan and Alonso may be having an off year but he is still working his butt off and still produces record breaking baseball. I have no major concerns when it comes to his contact. He may not get top dollar but he will be paid well. If the Mets let him slip away for a few bucks the franchise and the fan base will lose in the long run. PLUS!! I rather not have the polar bear against our pitchers. LGM!

Its a good thing nobody is at 600 ,teams are closer in skill.

None of the two Cy Young winners last year came close to winning 20 games.

The owners, GMs, coaches, and managers must stop with the going-full-board approach with starting pitchers. They have to teach pitchers how to get batters out without throwing 100-MPH. It's stupid. This is what baseball has become. Velocity. Same thing with hitting. Exit velocity is measured. Who cares. Do we have to measure that bullshit? No wonder the game is so uninteresting.

Sabermetrics has ruined this once amazing game.

Pete Alonso is NOT having a good year. Yes, his batting average is higher this year than last, but it's still below his career average. He hasn't hit a clutch homer this year, or driven in a run when needed with a double or single. He needs to have higher standards for himself. Maybe he does, but it doesn't come across that way.
