Should You Get and Build Dorothy? | Operator Dorothy Review [Arknights]

Dorothy is like Yoimiya from Genshin impact; she is not bad but the company insists on putting her between high valuable banners making no one pull for her besides the waifu factor.

(9:29) Just like what you said, her flexibility is certainly useful, but also very complex. I think new players will have a hard time if they're using her as DPS dealer, and I rarely see some high level players use trapmaster specialist, except for specialistknights. If you want to use Dorothy as a main unit, you need to learn how to be good at positioning and maintaining her traps at perfect time, since trapmaster specialist can't summon their trap on occupied tiles.

She’s much like Magallan: a potentially very powerful unit for carrying a stage, but she is HIGHLY dependent upon map layout and enemy types.

I think the Main Problem for Introducing a Trap Master Specialist to new players is how rare it is to have them. If I'm correct currently there's only 3 Trap Masters After Dorothy and they're stupid rare for new players Frost may likely never come back because it's a Collab Opperator who specializes in Bind and Stun Robin may be a welfare but I don't think Mansfield Break is gonna have a Operation Reward anytime soon who specializes in probably the more fun Bind and Push And now Dorothy is a 6★ Trap Master who specializes in Bind and Damage, Lots of Damage that are probably too complex to do chain reaction damage

Aghhhhhhhhh I really want Dorothy but also Młynar, Stainless, Penance, Chicago, Reed Evergarden, Chong Yue, Lin, Qiu Bai, and Yato Kirin

Dorothy is one of the few operators I've been really looking forward to. Mlynar and Texalter are just more delete buttons. Penance is cool as a Mudrock alternative. But Dorothy invites interesting play, while everyone else is so straight-forward and boring. AK is quickly digging it's grave with all of these delete button operators now. It's kind of sad to see. "Don't get this operator because this new delete button is coming soon!" is such an awful mantra that HG and Yostar seem to be embracing way too frequently now. I wouldn't be surprised if I see people saying they're not to get any ops after texalter because Yato is the new broken op and you NEED her.

I have so many meta characters that I honestly just want more niche fun characters, was planning on skipping but decided not to. Probably go to pity and stop if I lose 50/50 Edit: got her and Pallas in under 20 pulls

I will pull for her as I like her unique gameplay. Hopefully will have enough for Texas Alter. Man I love specialist operators.

Glad you are using Neural Cloud OST at the beginning brief story! 0:38! I play both games and love them! Also, if you like Dorothy. Check out Turing in the future. You'll be surprised how both Dorothy and Turing are similar! Both are head researchers of their respective departments (Rhine Lab, Rossum Sector) and have similar outfits (Labcoat with Yellow/Gold flair). They even have the small bot at their side to help them for their research. I can't wait for Turing to come to Neural Cloud! I will pull for Dorothy! Plus she's the same VA as Selena from PGR (Satomi Sato). So pretty much a guaranteed pull for me!

Might as well use her since I got her (Even though I was aiming for Flametail) so I do appreciate your videos on this!

Finally, i been waited this day for a long time

I wasn’t too interested at first, but the more I see her & what she can do, the more I want to pull for her. Now that she’s voiced by Allegra Clark, instant yes.

I got her at my first 10 pull. Thanks the RNG. This saved up my resources for the next BIG operator coming.
