  • The fact that everybody ain’t on their feet during Rakim’s performance is a disgrace to the culture, this man is a legend. There would be no Jay, Nas or Biggie without him.
  • These two men are 55 years old and rocking the stage like it's still the '80s. This is what longevity looks like.
  • Marley opened the doors for so many producers, his style of sampling, looping beats took hip-hop to a higher level.

LL Cool J and Rakim true Masters of Ceremonies showing how to do it with no playback. Respect 👏🏾
  • Eric B. and Rakim needs to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year. It's long overdue.
  • The audience didn’t deserve this performance! Everyone shoulda been standing up! I’m disappointed in them. This was a top tier performance! Others should take notes. THISSSSS is how it’s done!!! I woulda lost my damn mind if I was there. Salute to hip hop! The real hip hop!! Nothing against the new generation. But I’m a 80’s baby! And this is what I grew up listening to! Peace and blessings! 🖤

LL Cool J’s stage presence is everything.

When I say LL had a whole mini concert of his own 😂 he tore that stage Tf up!!

I hate to be an old fogey but I gotta be an old fogey. The level Rakim and LL Cool J brought it was DIFFERENT. NO RAPPING OVER VOCALS. Breath control, presence, energy. Even with Ra being laid back it still felt like a moment. Live band, DJs. Plural. Just ... man. This is how it should be done. They styles are identical to NONE.

Rakim took Bars to another level🔥🔥 I'm glad to grow up with Hip Hop 🔥

I just feel like when we have OG Hip Hop Legends on stage, the audience NEEDS TO BE STANDING UP! Especially at a Hip Hop Award show. Regardless if you don’t know their music word for word, stand tf and vibe out, pay that respect !

The two GOATS, Rakim and LL. This is what longevity looks like the younger generation needs to take notes.

LL Cool J just demonstrated how to actually control and rocked the crowd. No hype men or dancers. Straight Emcee status. This isn’t my era by the way
  • WOW LL COOL J's energy despite his chronological age is UNMATCHED!!! 😲👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Paid in full is one of the greatest songs in Hip Hop History!!!! It will never get old to me! None of these classics will ever die🔥🔥🔥
  • @curtis75black
LL & RAKIM tore this stage up better than all of the youngins around today. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

They don’t even know how blessed they are in that crowd. Man

LL dont play with his performances, you can tell he looks after himself. That high kick at the end was the truth. A true living legend and icon. Also Salute the God Rakim...I dont think some of the audience realised what they had just witnessed. Some people really should study hip hop history. Brilliant from both icons👌🙏🏽
