Say what you want about ffdp but Ivan's sobriety story is inspiring

I had almost 60 days sober when I went to see 5FPD in concert here in AZ and I bought the tickets before I got sober. It was my first ever sober "activity" and everyone I was with was drinking. They were also trying to talk me into drinking with them, saying, "c'mon if you were a real friend youd have some shots with us." The obsession was not gone yet and my mind was racing but I wanted sobriety so bad! I just needed one person to tell me to keep going! Ivan was celebrating 1 year that night and he brought up sobriety. Asked if anyone in the crowd has less than 90 days and the band gave a signed bat to someone with just a couple days sober! Talk about a spiritual experience. I made it through and still sober today!!! I celebrate 4 years on August 25th!! Thank for your your encouragement, your service, and for carrying the message!!! I can still jam out and not be drunk!🤘🏻🤘🏻

I've been 35 yrs sober from cocaine. Literally my unborn child save my life. Found out I was pregnant and went to rehab. I chose my child. Never looked back. I love all my addicted and sober friends. We need to support our people through thick and thin. Thank you for making the music you do. Sometimes it's all we have to get through that 1 min of hell that continues day after day. I give you a lot credit foe taking that scary step to sobriety. You are worth, we are all worth it. God bless and many blessing. Tragic Truth one of my favorites.
  • the fact that out of all their subscribers this video has only 17k views says how little people are willing to try to forgive or even listen to an inspiring story

just saw FFDP on Saturday and Ivan talked about it on stage, loved it. He even rewarded some people for their sobriety in the crowd. Hits home for me because I've been sober for 26 months. Stay Strong
  • Getting sober is hard. Super hard. I've been through that process many times. It's staying sober that's the biggest challenge and I respect everyone who manages to stay sober. I don't listen to FFDP but that doesn't mean anything, huge props to this guy❤

  • Thank you IVAN...I am 45 days sober and you know how hard it is to stay sober....you stop at the store to buy a soda and there is the beer cooler right there..and how easy it would be to just grab one and down it...or those little bottles at the register..Im at the hard part...everyday..but I just keep pushing thru..baby steps..So thank you for your inspiration..and your music...See you Saturday! WHITE RIVER AMPHITHEATRE ROCK ON! FFDP

as a fan of FFDP for many years im SO PROUD of Ivan Moody for this! and hes done what most people cant do Addiction is a monster and I wish in hind sight I had stayed away from certain things myself feel like I could of saved myself ALOT of pain.....But sometimes life brings theses things into your life to test you I truly believe that. I just wish I didn't feel at the time taking substances was the only way to escape my pain.
  • Wonderful interview. I love IVAN and I'm so so proud of him.❤️. FFDP live concerts are amazing.

Personally, being through my father being an alcoholic, I know alot of the things that Ivan has been through to get sober. That said, I definitely like this Ivan better!! He slays it on stage! I'm proud of him being sober!
  • @Codakey
Great words Ivan! Thank you! Honestly I'm 25 and a lot of my teeth are gone or damaged from chewing and obsessive drinking for years and had it's reasons. Started young and obviously Starts as fun.. But it turned into the tiring addiction journey. Just wanted to say your definitely not alone. Spread the positive message! Much love brother
