Fat loss is NOT easy! But one way to make it 100x easier is knowing what high volume foods swap you can make to make it feel like you're eating double for less calories. Let me show you the way 🤝
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
So in today's video, I'm talking about my favourite healthy food swaps. Because truthfully, I hate dieting. I hate eating lower calories. I hate being in a calorie deficit. But need's must. So when I do embark on a fat loss journey, it's great having a number of food swaps you can make to make a low calorie meal feel less like less of a low calorie meal.

And that's where high volume foods come in. So high volume foods are foods that you can eat quite a big portion of for very few calories and they're the saving grace for many dieters. And it's great because the inclusion of these high volume foods doesn't mean the exclusion of other foods. Instead, you can simply just reduce the portions of some of your higher volume choices, make room for your lower volume choices and voila, a nice low calorie high volume meal which sometimes looks even bigger than the original - eat double for less calories 😉

And one thing I haven't mentioned yet is protein. Because on any lower calorie diet, protein is important to retain or even build muscle. But don't worry. Some of my 10 high volume food swaps are high protein sources, teeing you up to make some high protein high volume meals.

Enjoy!

Couple tips: -Eat as much veggies as you can stomach. These are all incredibly low calorie and filling. There are probably microwave steamed vegetable packs available at your shops too. -Eat frozen mixed berries for sweet snacks. Or any kind of lower calorie fruit. Try not to drink your calories in the form of juice if you can help it. -Lean meats. Chicken breast is incredibly lean so you can bulk up your plate, but look at things like tuna, shrimp/prawns and squid as well, as seafood can be incredibly lean and also low calorie. -Try to reduce fat / oil intake - at least temporarily. Ovens and air fryers are great for cooking food without oil. -Drink a lot of water. A lot of the time when we think we’re hungry we’re actually thirsty.

Really good stuff. I got to my heaviest last year at 280 pounds, watching your videos has helped a ton. Lots of genuinely useful tips. I'm down to 250 now, and still dropping while gaining muscle! Bulking out those eggs with egg whites is a great way of improving the protein ratio too.

I like the idea behind the swaps and not removing the foods completely. The reason for this is because my body reacts well to certain foods and I wouldn’t want to swap them out completely. Thanks mate

I too am loving strawberries this summer! I know a fair few high volume foods but I liked how you showed the swaps side by side. Really no reason to struggle if you don’t have to. Thanks!

Maybe my start is actually eating a regular portion 😂
  • I love what you did with the rice and the pasta and how you showed the difference side by side. I have been following you for some time and want to say that I LOVE how clear and thoroughly you answer questions. How ever, I do have to say that I feel that your recipes are lacking a very important component, and that is the nutritional value of its Ingredients. Yes, in fitness Calories and Macros are absolutely important but I believe "fitness" encompasses more then just esthetics. I believe "fitness" is about overall well-being. And therefore, we should also look at the ingredients listed in the seasonings and salsas that we use to add flavor to our food. I noticed a lot of the seasonings and salsas that you use are super high in sodium or full of fillers, preservatives, and poor choices of Sweeteners. I understand these things are added in small portions. But since we are looking to create long term habits, these things may not be great choices of things to be eaten on a daily basis for years to come. Because, yes we may be using small portions of them at a time but in the long run the consumption of them longterm may carry health consequences. Anyway, That being said, I want to reiterate that I do find lots of value in your exercise and fitness advice. I just don't agree with some of the ingredients you use in your recipes. But still, much respect 🙏 👏
