    iirc lightning is a more durable connector since the connector doesn't have a central pin which can snap like micro-USB and USB-C (Also they make an absolute ASSLOAD of money off the MFI program). Also pretty much nobody uses the C to A adapter that comes with Samsung, I only use mine for my MacBook lol.
