Luca and Nero are brothers. Nero looks up to Luca, wishing that he could be as well loved by all. Unlike Luca, Nero's powers are messy and corrupting. Any attempt he makes to copy Luca is met with scorn and failure. When Nero is cast out, the intense emotions he feels makes his wild magic run even wilder, causing havoc in the mortal world. Luca, in a half-hearted attempt to help his brother, orders Nero to reign in the unruly demons he creates. He even gives Nero a medallion that will help him calm down! Catch them, count them, sort them, destroy them. There aren't even that many! It should be easy. As long as Nero stays completely focused and doesn't let his silly emotions get in the way, he should be all done in no time! ...right?

maaan this project has been in the works for AGES!! it's not often that I see something this big through to completion, at least not recently! school has been WRECKING ME 😭

    The amount of stress put on Nero just because he was born different from his brother is insane.He is more caring,loving,and selfless than his brother.Yet he still has to put up with all of this and it’s sad to see how much of a toll it is taking on him. HES TOO PURE HEARTED FOR THIS

    THE ANIMATION, THE EXPRESSIONS, THE STORY 😭😭😭 BRO OMG MAKIN A WHOLE MUSIC VIDEO THIS TURNED OUT AMAZING!!! I love the story between Luca and Nero, I actually feel quite bad for him 😭 how's he gonna have time to take care of the demon population and his child, his life has been so stressful I want to hug him 😭💖✨💞💕

    I just noticed, in older times the glowing gold circle meant that someone was DIVINE. I guess this means Nero is divine.

    I don’t know why, but every time I watch this animation, I cry. Something about the story being told paired with the music… you can just feel what Nero is feeling here — his anxiety, fear, and sadness. The music is incredible, it gives me goosebumps. This animation is truly wonderful. Amazing job, Blackie Sootfur.

    Man this is so good. I feel so bad for Nero. He shouldn't be made to take care of the 'demons' all on his own. I get the feel that these demons aren't even bad and it's doing more harm for Nero to be frantically trying to get rid of them all.

    I love the symbolism like Luca's wings being average sized compared to Nero's smaller ones in the 'simpler' style. Like Nero isn't as powerful as his brother is, or to represent how he is outcasted, and thus, doesn't have wings big enough to fly up to the aether (sorry if I misspelled it). Lovely work!

    Blackie Sootfur was my inspiration for when I was younger to get into drawing, and now here i am in high school going into the advanced classes in art because my teacher is encouraging me to because I'm "better than average". Keep up the good work, thank you so much for what you have done! <3

    I have a few ideas as to where this story might be going. 1. The black bear might finally confront the white bear and point out how none of it is fair and that he doesn't deserve how badly he’s been treated. The white bear might see the errors of his ways, and actually try to help and be a good sibling. That alone might help the black bear get control of his sadness and emotionally heal. 2. The spoiled white bear becomes so corrupt and self-righteous that the Blackbear will have to have a confrontation to stop them and prove that he was never evil. The white bear was the villain all along. 3. The white bear runs into trouble after his ego and cruelty towards others backfires on him. Then it is up to the black bear to save the day and show the white bear the errors of his ways. 4. The white bear drives everyone away with his cruelty and selfishness meanwhile the black bear learns to cope with his issues. The black bear has friends and comes to terms with the fact that his life isn’t so bad. The white bear suffers the consequences of his actions and maybe the black bear forgives him.

    I was a little confused as to what the story was about at times (like the collecting of demons), but Blackie, this is so good! And I absolutely adore the chibi-like designs of the characters!!

    You know to be an ajr fan, it is quite uplifting to see their quality of life music be mixed in with a emotional story animation.

    Honestly every time I watch this I think 'Why does he even want to go back? All they do is make him miserable and feel rejected and unfit. Just stay down there with the people who accept you and just be happy.'
