Part 1 of the “perfect” botanical Diptych/Rinske Douna Inspired @RinskeDouna #art #flowers #artsy

Published 2024-06-03
This painting was inspired by the beautiful paintings of Rinske Douna. Specifically this week’s diptych that she finished and posted on YouTube. I’ll link her channel here    • Twin Painting! This worked out GREAT ...

This can be easily learned. I took Rinske’s online Botanical Art course which was really helpful and full of tips.

The colors used today are prism violet, sap green, interference gold and titanium black on a Mars Black background.

The canvas is 10”x 20” deep edge gallery wrapped.

The brush is a 4inch freestyle brush by liquitex.

I love this style. The interference gold on black was enough for me. Gorgeous
  • Wow! What a beautiful job! Seriously... even to attempt Rinska's style is courageous. Makes me hyper ventilate thinking about it. 😅 You've got the touch. 😊❤
  • Lovely to see you emulating Rinske, whose botanical series is a real favourite of mine! I thought using as your v first strike a guideline for the flow, direction and structure of the painting was inspired!! Thank you!! 😃
