The best part of this performance is how much SHE enjoyed singing. There was no excessive singing to make any impression. She just went up there and enjoyed herself in her pure talent and charisma.

I think the judges (save Simon) got caught up in the caricature that she presented - the name Panda, the necklace Single, her playful flirting, etc - and they may have missed that this is a generational voice. I love 60s and 70s soul and this woman is loaded with talent, a richness in experience that permeates her vocal performance. Just amazing. I'd listen to her sing Motown hits all day.
