I like the original, but When Nature Calls remains my favorite of the 2. So many quotable lines that my wife and I still use regularly.

That rhino scene. Man, it still cracks me up. It's so ridiculous, it's just plain funny.

Happy to wake up to this gem.

In a parallel universe, Jim Carrey's career doesn't take off as well as it did here and he ended up making dozens of Ace Ventura movies, essentially filling the Ernest shaped void left by Jim Varney.

I loved the Ace venture movies growing up there were some of my favorites as a kid!!!

I remember seeing this at the $1 cinema. This was my favorite over the first. The Rhino scene, the tribal fight, and the climax chase were great.

This was part of my "sick days" movie set when I was a teen. It's beloved by my family and I'm over 40 now and we still quote it often.

Maybe I'm crazy but I liked this one more than the first one.

I think critics have proven themselves incompetent at this point in cinema history. The audience always knows. And this movie was fantastic. Holds up to this day.

I was a teenager in high school when both of the Ace Ventura movies came out, and like so many others, I just couldn’t get enough of Jim Carrey. I had previously thought he was the clear standout on In Living Color, but once Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb & Dumber all came out in the same year in 1994 and Jim was really allowed to shine? Wow was it fun. Some part of why I enjoyed movies in the mid and late 90’s maybe more than any other time in my life was Carrey. It just felt great to laugh, and in such a new way. I can remember when When Nature Calls came out, my local theater chain in Michigan had a great promotion. You paid around $20 for a large plastic When Nature Calls popcorn bucket, and you could keep bringing back to movies the entire summer for 3-4 months for unlimited free refills! For a frequent moviegoer, it was THE most incredible deal for me, and u used it so many times. Wish theaters would do something like that today.

I totally enjoyed this more than the first. The fight scene is just hilarious.

The Rhino scene is one of my favorites of all time.

The Rhino scene is the most insane, the funniest, the craziest scene, the sickest scene in the history of comedies! It can not be described, it can not be explained, it is lunacy and brilliance! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙌🙌👏👈👈
