  • Props to them for taking care to release that beautiful creation unharmed.
  • Catch and release. Outstanding work gentlemen. Their message of conservation and responsibility is crucial. Like the young man said, I really hope this opens up a dialogue, and inspires others to enjoy and respect the environment.

Thank you gentlemen for being compassionate! Just cause I don’t want to meet one doesn’t mean I don’t love them!

  • I’m so glad, to see it released. We were just visiting Bangkok. The Chinese restaurants were all selling shark fin soup. It was an eye opener.

Grew up in Pensacola and have swam and fished at Orange Beach many times. But I will NOT go in the water past my knees when it's dark.

There are several being tracked in the Gulf as well as the Atlantic. Ocearch reports three white sharks have "pinged" recently off the coast of Florida — two in the Gulf of Mexico and one in the Atlantic. That's just the ones that are tagged. The one they caught could have been Maple, who pinged March 6 about 43 miles southeast of St. George Island in Florida's Big Bend area. Maple is considered a sub-adult white shark. She was tagged Sept. 14, 2021, off Ironbound Island, Nova Scotia. She was 11 feet 7 inches long and weighed a hefty 1,264 pounds.
  • Sheriff Brody went on record by saying “You better do something about this one cause I don’t intend to go through that hell again!”

That's why I never swim in the ocean at night.
  • With that size of tackle and shark you would think it would pull them in. Wow
