It looks promising for this game. I hope the developers will take more time to distinguish it from Kingdom Hearts.

While the ones that came latter on were definetly not, KH1 actually really heavy on the 3d platforming side and that is by design. Since the game was kind of elevator-pitched as a "mario 64 with final fantasy and disney" the 3d platformer footprint was very much present in KH1 From chain of memories onwards it found it's footing and identity as an action RPG with light platforming from time to time.

If kh fans were like pokemon fans, everyone would be unfairly slamming this game and accusing it of plagiarism

There’s nothing wrong with taking inspiration from something you love and putting your own twist on it, some communities would be hating on this but I think most people here will be looking forward to this.

Please more Duskfade content. This looks so cool

I want to give Jared all the credit in the world for expanding his content. He’s felt a bit limited in the content that he can make back then. But now it really feels like he removed a handicap, and the content sort of creates itself! Good work 😊😊

To me it gives kh meets wizards 101 with a fortnite color font

Maybe there are only two weapons that are related to both Light and Darkness and the Main Character has the light sword trying to find the dark sword before it falls into the wrong hands.

This is like the equivalent of what Penny's Big Breakaway is to Sonic fans

This looks really awesome, although as an artist I do feel it's maybe a bit too inspired. The red outfit and yellow shoes are a little on the nose. Sora had this to be similar to mickey but here it makes a bit less sense, the environments are quite nice, the weapon still might be a bit too similar at times, it has a light and dark thing going on like KH with 2 sides of the same weapon. the dark enemies with the yellow glowing eyes also feel like they might be getting a little too close, I just hope a Palworld situation doesn't happen again

The worlds look like something storyland-esq, and the weapons look like pens. The enemies look like ink. I think I'm starting to see the theme here.

I remember when i first got into kh that my brother would always joke about the kh games by calling them kingdom farts instead of kingdom hearts and dont know why but always annoyed me he didnt want to get the name right lol 😅😂

Another game to look out for if you don't already know is Luminous Realms, which is also KH-inspired, and iirc is made by one dude. Def worth checking out their progress, even if that's not your can of beans.
