Aretha & Patti have always been friends & had respect for one another’s talent. People put that negative & out-right wrong narrative out there about them having beef. Every time you saw Patti singing at an Aretha tribute it’s bcuz Aretha herself personally requested & chose Patti. Who else was on equal footing to Aretha when it came to singing, ESPECIALLY back in the 1990’s? 🤷🏽♀️

Always loved Aretha Franklin. When I watched her at 73, singing Natural Woman and playing the piano at the Carole King tribute in 2015 I loved her even more!!!

I wish Whitney would have lived long enough to have overcome her demons to sit in that booth to receive hers! It’s only natural that she would have, since she had won everything else and certainly deserved it by her her career accomplishments. Still nobody can sound the way she does in 2022
