Total solar eclipse 2024

Published 2024-04-08
Eclipse across North America: A total solar eclipse, which was experienced by millions of skygazers in parts of Mexico, the United States and Canada, has concluded its path over North America.
Huge audience in the US: An estimated 32 million people were in the path of totality and a total solar eclipse could be visible in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, although weather threatened to spoil the fun for some.
When will it happen again?: A total solar eclipse won’t be visible again from the contiguous US until August 22, 2044, but totality will only occur over North Dakota and Montana, plus northern Canada.
