    No sport is chess. At best, we're playing deck builders or building some characters for DND. A chess board, both players/teams have even playing pieces. Not all teams are even. Each player have different stats and you can also have one team that is simply underdeveloped while other teams simply fully developed. Crucial positioning wise, combat sports is VERY VERY crucial in positioning as well and it's just and another person fighting. It's the different between whether you can punch or kick someone or even secure a takedown. If you don't know your range, it's going to be a long night. In chase tag, it just takes 1 tag. So there are similarities to finding your position compare to combat sports. Pieces times are crucial and I've seen a handful of times where it made the difference between a W and a L in chase tag matches.
