RIP Eric Carmen, Go All The Way is a rock classic that'll still be listened to long after all of us are all gone.

The Dirty Dancing soundtrack was all I listened to when I was 12 years old. RIP Eric Carman 😢

This morning I had a very surreal experience. As I was making my morning coffee, the song by The Raspberries "go all the way" was running through my sleepy mind. I mused to myself: "Eric Carmen sang that song so beautifully. All these years later, that song still takes me back to the good times of my days in high school." I thought it strange that he and his famous song would come to mind. Then, I turned on my computer and watched Legacy. I was saddened to hear he had passed away. Rest in peace Eric. Thank you for saying farewell to me in a way that defies understanding.

March 11, 2024) We are sad to report the passing of one of the unsung, great drummers of R&B, Everett Collins, known as the driver of the percolating beats of the Isley Brothers in the 70s and the smoother jams of the group Surface a decade later. But for a couple generations of students in Virginia, he was just the coolest music teacher around. He was my son's band teacher at Toano Middle School. He created an amazing drum line! His Grammy hung in the classroom! Such a nice man. His favorite saying was "Cheese and Crackers!" RIP Mr. C. 💔

Can’t even imagine living your (almost) entire life in an iron lung. Rest easy, sir.

One by one, each week, we are losing more and more of our music heroes from the 1970s. The likes of which will not pass our way again.

Im 55 and it is sad to see so many people pass away that were part of my childhood memories- in 10 years almost all of them will be gone - they were all one of a kind - i will miss those wonderful days gone by

We lost Eric Carmen? Damn. I've loved his work for years. I used to work at a girls high school and one year the graduating class used All By Myself to poke some fun at me. I thought it was incredibly funny. RIP, Eric. You're one of the musical greats and will be sorely missed 💔

I was just thinking and talking about Eric Carman. The sax solo from Hungry Eyes was the first I learned and it got me many dates back in the 80's.
