Far-right parties have surged across Europe, portraying migration as a threat to the continent. Europe faces the dilemma of labor shortages and fears of losing cultural identity.

In part-1 of the documentary 'Rise of the Far Right,' host Jamie Owen travels to Italy to explore why the migration issue is boosting support for the far right and how these parties are making immigration promises they likely can't fulfill.

It has nothing to do with the far-right. Most of us don't want them here. We are struggling enough already without more making the queues for everything longer.
  • it is not dilemma. illegal migration is supported by left wing and liberal politics. just follow the money- who is financing these NGO rescue ships?

This is horrible. But why would people expect Europe to solve all their problems. Keep in mind that, they are often very low educated so in most countries they will not be able to participate in the system which will leave them frustrated. They often have a lot of children, which is too much for Europe to carry. They have different values which are not always in harmony with ours. It will lead to an enormous amount of problems!

Should be more concerned of the rise of the far left.
  • So we should just allow our children and grandchildren to grow up in a islamic state and not care for their future.

Why is it always Europe? Why isn't Korea or China being forced to take migrants?

THE RISE OF THE FAR LEFT HAS NOW GIVEN RISE TO THE FAR RIGHT. 💯
  • I see that the border guards do their job of guarding very well. NGOs are cooperating with the traffickers which is illegal or not?

I spent a month in Italy working as a volunteer in a music studio and an ice cream gin bar, Love the people and their way of life. I would love to move from England and live the rest of my life in Italy and create opportunities but I don't have any money to sustain myself....so why burden them with my wants or needs?

I don't live in Europe but you can tell this media outlet does not deliver an unbiased news report and are pro left wing. You kept trying to paint the image that right wingers are against immigration. Right wing supporter's are not against immigration, they are against ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. If you need field worker's on a farm because Italian's do not want to do those jobs fine, bring in immigrants to fill those jobs with one's who applied for work Visa's through the proper channels, not ones that piled into a boat and jumped ahead in the line of all those who have filed the proper way to immigrate. The majority of these people are not fleeing wars and conflicts.

Heavy hearted hearing these mishaps!!!Are humans destroying humans???
  • Italy should persue economic policy with other countries that are beneficial for its self and other countries. Foreign policies that do not displace people.
