Norfolk Southern is worth 51 billion dollars. 600 million is nothing to them.
  • And the little guy gets screwed. 20 Mil for community health MONITORING? What about TREATMENT?
  • @buixote
A sweatheart deal for NS, no doubt. Forget about jail-time for the perpetrators.

Everyone notice how much is going to the FAMILIES impacted? ZERO! How much did the "government" take? At least $271,000,000 that they are showing on the screen... Nevermind the other 40,000,000 🙄 And of that 271 Mil MAYBE %5 will be spent to help the city as a whole and the environment there. We are all like dogs fighting for scraps in this world while a select few sit at the table to eat.

You did not mention even $1. to the Citizens. The RR should buy all the Real Estate at fair market value before the crash if owners want to sell.
  • @aaron0000123
Look at that, the people who caused the disaster have decided with the government what your lives are worth, without ANY input from the people affected.

I'm glad they came to agreement, but what about the citizens? Did they agree?
  • EPA, DOJ, and Norfolk Southern. It appears the citizens, or their representatives, were missing from this quaint little meeting. So shocking.

🙋‍♀️ pay the residents & provide safe housing & health care

What about $$$ to all those families whose health are forever changed?? Shouldn't our government had secured those funds first and foremost?? Disgusting!!
  • @dudereno21
So all that money basically just goes to the EPA?
  • @chewy6942
What’s joke, no all of a sudden they basically admit they are at fault but still a slap in the face for these people!
  • @jimfausset8122
So what are they going to do for the people remember the people
  • @yahwea
Meaning the US Taxpayers subsidize the railroad. Where is the fairness in that?
