I love the look of the door. Being very colorful is great, but painting your door to match your shutters is a very subtle way of saying I no longer have to scream I have arrived because I am already here. You can always add some color with a wreath. You, Marcus, your mom, and grandmother did a great job.

From a male perspective, I like the door. I would do more color in the door wreath. Hydrangeas leaves will naturally wilt in this Georgia summer heat, especially when in full sun, not really a way around that. Use a granule time release fertilizer on the side underneath the tree. That side isn't getting enough sun. The fertilizer will help.

I think the door looks fine it matches the shutters. What about a more colorful wreath? The wreath is dull. It's summertime try a wreath with yellow in it. Something brighter that makes the gray door pop.

Best time to pull weeds for me is after a rainfall and sometimes I garden in the rain if itβs not a downpour because the weeds come up so easily. Gardening for me is ongoing maintenance till wintertime.

I love watching young black couples work hard on their homes! It reminds me of myself and my husband! We fixed up (still are doing things) our home as well and it's such a fun, but physically hard thing to do! But it's so rewarding! You and Marcus have given us such great ideas and lessons learned. Keep up the good work.. and I know you likely already do this, but OMG, cherish your mom and grandmother! This was beautiful to watch. β€
