Nothing better than seeing a toddler’s chubby hands playing in the dirt as well as learning about seeds!

This is my favorite part of seed starting. Teasing them apart and potting up. It’s so relaxing. Moving so slowly as well as being so gently with the little baby plants.

  • Please keep showing the steps for growing celery. Im planting it for the first time this year. Your video was very helpful!
  • We have had minimal success with celery but planted more this year, they are in my greenhouse now which does get into the 80s during the day but 40s at night. They did germinate! Took longer than anything else.
  • Loved how you opened the video with your grand baby filling your pots!! ❤
  • @smithyrayner
I've done celery, one self blanching and one not. The self blanching wanted to be sown 1cm deep, both have germinated well and look to be about the same size as your seedlings. Loved seeing you interact and include your grandson ❤ xx

My celery seeds seem to take a long time to germinate too. I also use the UtahTall celery. Love letting the grands help with gardening.

Thanks for the tips on planting celery. It's something I want to do this year. I guess I'd better hurry up and get going with it since I'm in 6b also. Hopefully you'll do some follow up videos on how the celery progresses. I'm interested to see that. It's great that you have your grandson there with you getting his hands dirty. He has great motor control. I was doing really well with the spoon and soil with the containers. Great education for a little one.
