Watching 5 young men in today's society recognizing and admiring the pure musicianship of Eric Clapton and a lot of older artists, some true ones too, warms my soul.
  • BB King called Eric his son. They had incredible love for each other. Eric along with other English guitarists reintroduced the world to the best old blues players from the south and gave them the long earned credit due them.

He recorded an album with BB King which is fabulous. He started with the Yardbirds, Cream, Derrick and the Dominos, etc. The man is a living legend.

Being 60 years old, and having grown up listening to Clapton, it tickles me to no end to watch you discover Eric for the first time. Your video is hands-down my favorite Reaction clip…OF ALL TIME. Bravo!
  • Only artist to be inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 3 times! As member of Yardbirds, member of Cream and as solo artist.
  • Eric is one of the best guitarists of all time. His jam sessions with B.B. King are legendary masterpieces.
  • Clapton been around since the 60's playing the blues. He's the best blues guitarist still.
  • Clapton's life has been filled with addiction, tragedy, loss, and unbelievable artistic achievement. I heard an interview once where he stated "I have earned the right to sing the blues." Give a listen to "White Room", recorded by the band Cream.

Eric’s “Tears in Heaven” makes me cry every time i hear it. It’s about losing his little boy. Just broke my heart.
  • He made that guitar wail like a tortured soul. Glad you guys enjoyed it. Looked like y'all were deep into Eric's despairing groove. Love what y'all do. Great discussions too.

Eric Clapton is a purist, probably the greatest, back in a time when talent was king.
  • Eric has been through such sadness when he lost his son his pain can be heard through his music. He is awesome.

Eric Clapton is a wizard. Given the nickname "slowhands" his bluesy style is almost second to none. He, Hendrix, Jeff beck, Jimmy page and Stevie Ray Vaughn are consider by many as the greatest guitar players of all time.

Some of the greatest blues music ever performed has come from Eric Clapton over his very long career. He is a stunning guitarist and a soulful singer. The combination of both makes for some truly moving experiences. It is no wonder he is considered a blues great. As a long time blues vocalist myself, its lovely to see young guys like you enjoying some of my era's musicians.
  • Eric Clapton is such a brilliant guitarist! I’m so happy these guys finally got to see him perform. He has an impressive history with a few bands, Derek and the Dominoes, Cream, Yardbirds to name a few. He never disappoints.

A lot of guitarists learned their skills by listening to BB King and Muddy Waters. Those old blues guitarists are the connective tissue for so many great guitarists over the last 60 years. As for another great Clapton performance, please watch him play "Layla" live at MSG in 1999.

He's still considered one of the best blues guitarists ever. loved listening to him, amazing experience live.
