“Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. Ignorance and prejudice and fear walk hand in hand.” My favorite Neil Peart lyric ever.🙏
  • @markb4188
Bad ass tune. My favorite “B” side song from Rush. I have had the pleasure to see them in concert during their prime and they were great.
  • Rush was ahead of thier time, outstanding musicians and more ,scholars.

The mob sounds were created by members of the band, crew, and studio staff grumbling and shouting into microphones that had been set up outside, or as Geddy described it in his book My Effin Life, "it was a bunch of hosers with scarves on, freezing their nuts off late on a Canadian night in November." Another song you may like from Moving Pictures is The Camera Eye, which they performed live on the Time Machine Tour. Cheers from Toronto! 🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🐐 🐐 🐐

You’re gonna love “Cygnus X1 book one” and Cygnus X1 book 2 “Hemispheres”

The lyrics are just amazing, one of my favourite songs

RIP Neil Peart❤️🤘🎸These lyrics are as true if not more true now than they were in 1981!🎸🤘

You might find this interesting. Its a section from an article about the Fear Trilogy. "This trilogy consists of three powerful songs – "The Enemy Within" from Grace Under Pressure, "The Weapon" from Signals, and "Witch Hunt" from Moving Pictures. In an interview, Neil Peart explained that the idea for the trilogy was inspired by a conversation he had with an older man who claimed that fear, not love or reason, ruled people's lives. This intriguing concept led Peart to explore the various manifestations of fear in society and within ourselves. Each song in the trilogy offers a unique perspective on fear, its influence, and its consequences."

I 2nd Marc Nelson …Cygnus X-1 is about driving your space ship into a black hole and Cygnus X-1 book 2 is what happens on coming out the other side
  • Neil Peart was not only one of the greatest drummers, but a writer as well, which makes for a great lyricist. I always enjoy your reactions Saeed. Thanks for the Rush. 💛🤘🤙✌️

"Telling a story" filled a big gap in life for some of us. Back then we didn't have TV's or music on demand so eyes closed and it was almost a movie in your head :) So much talent and imagination Welcome to the Rush Fam

These guys always know how to paint a picture. They do it just as well or better live. Simply timeless. Dig hearing this stuff again and watching your reactions. Not only was Neil Peart (the professor), playing drums and percussion, he writes the lyrics. He's also written 4 books (I hope I have that number right). Other "sci fi" songs you'll love are, Bytor and the Snowdog (check out the studio version first), Cygnus X-1, and The Fountain of Lamneth. I'd love to see you react to some instrumentals like, La Villa Strangiato, YYZ, Leave that Thing Alone, Where's my Thing and Malignant Narcissism. Enjoying your reactions, RIP Neil...
  • We lost a true legend in 2020. I'm so glad I was able to see them live on many an occasion. We'll not see the like of them again.
  • @byronness7385
Rush’s lyrics are as relevant today as when they were written 40 yrs ago Your gonna find this in almost every song they wrote
  • @lauriivey7801
Have always loved this one ... nothing good ever came from a mob, and the second you believe that you know what's right for others is the moment you become the tyrant
  • For a song written over 40 years ago... Is talking about today. Neil! 😮😢 The best. RIP.

You're the first reaction guy who really get the rush lyrics and on the first listen that's impressive, most people don't even try. Pretty good.
