Johannes Köster - Transparent, reproducible, and adaptable data analysis with Snakemake

Published 2023-05-04
Recorded 04 May 2023. Johannes Köster of the Universität Duisburg-Essen presents "Transparent, reproducible, and adaptable data analysis with Snakemake" at IPAM's workshop for Complex Scientific Workflows at Extreme Computational Scales.
Abstract: Snakemake is one of the most widely used systems for reproducible data analysis. While reproducibility is an important goal, it should not be considered the only one when designing an in silico analysis. We show how Snakemake reaches beyond plain reproducibility and enables truly sustainable data analysis that support the transparent assessment of the used methods and obtained results, as well as being adaptable towards new applications.
