In October 2020 Polish divers from the Baltictech group found the wreck of the SS Karlsruhe, a ship which took part in Operation Hannibal, a sea evacuation which allowed more than a million German troops and civilians from East Prussia to escape advancing Soviet forces. The ship was attacked off the coast of Poland by Soviet aircraft after it sailed from Konigsberg in 1945. The wreck holds many crates with unknown contents. An online news website, Live Science, reports that this German steamship may hold crates that contain parts of the Amber Room.

Given the fact that towards the end of the war, the angry mustache man issued his infamous “Nero Decree” which essentially men complete and total scorch earth, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Amber room, paneling and stuff were all destroyed. After all, it wasn’t that uncommon, especially towards the tail end of the war, for many looted works of art and such to be destroyed as the Germans retreated. In fact, the individuals in the allied military, who became known as “the monuments men“ do you have reports of finding caves and mines and such that had been severely charred from fire. And this was likely due to the fact that they probably had men with flamethrowers or just somebody dousing gasoline on everything and lighting a match. Kind of an idea of “if we can’t have it then nobody can“ You also think that it’s entirely panels of the room could’ve been given to various high-ranking members of the party elite. Although if I’m honest, I would think the most likely thing that would’ve been done. It would’ve been taken to the Eagles nest. And who knows it could still be there hidden in some undiscovered bunker or something. Although by now there’s a real possibility that it could’ve been completely destroyed just through time. Regardless it’s likely that the room will never be recovered.
  • Great post, thank you. Why didn't anyone look at South American Countries or Spain?

I'm sitting in the amber room. Not telling you where though.

The location of the Amber Room is on the back of the Declaration of Independence.

I would feel better about some of their conclusions had this documentary not been a number of years old and thus we would have heard about it had they discovered it. Also, I would have more confidence in it if it didn't have this: who was D.B..Cooper?, Ancient Aliens, J.F.K. killed by anyone other than Lee Oswald vibe about it but other than general knowledge about the amber room ( I have a degree in art history but claim no special knowledge here ) I don't bring much to the table here which is why I employed the term "Vibe".
