Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am answering your questions about waterslide paper and I have put together several pours all in one place for as much information as I could on this subject.
Including the new large mixer from ‪@LETSRESIN‬ and their leveling table.
and as always there is my fare share of fails and fixes.

If you have any comments or just want to ask questions please use the comment section below and I will get back to you.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Thanks for watching
Wendy

I absolutely love that you show us your mistakes!! It lets me know, that my mistakes are fixable and everyone does them. They turned out great in the end!! Especially love the dragons!!
  • You are a hoot Wendy😂 Thanks for showing the black taking over the clear waterside paper, that's a mistake I will not have to make now. Beautiful pieces, I love the wolf ❤❤❤
  • @adalavin8648
Thank you for going through several projects from start to finish with the water slide paper. It's helped me understand the process of how to use it so much better. All of the projects turned out so beautifully. I really loved the galaxy coaster. Just beautiful! 💗

Wendy I love how informative you been on these and the fact you show us your mistakes 😍 These have all turned out beautiful 🥰
  • Very beautiful 😍 I too love seeing the mistakes. It makes us feel that we are not alone making them and we can always learn go from them. Actually, my favorite saying is, A mistake is NOT a mistake if you learn from it 😊

I used to use both white and clear water slide paper on tumblers. I applied some with the sticky side down & some with the printed side down depending on which was easier for the design, and I never had any issues with the decals lifting or fading. Also, smoothing the decals is easier if you gently use a silicone makeup/mask brush as a squeegee. Your trays & coasters are gorgeous! You are making me want to get my water slide paper back out again. ❤️

Thank you so much for showing the good, the bad, and the difficult. We all learn so much from your videos! ❤ Those came out amazing by the way! ❤❤❤

When you were about to pour the black, I was like "Nooooooo!" I just love you darlin', you are so real.

Thank you for leaving in the mistakes for some reason it makes me feel better knowing that you, an experienced artist, makes mistakes too.

  • Wendy, I think these have all turned out beautifully, in spite of all of your headaches getting to the finished product! Thank you for leaving all of those problems in the video as now we know what not to do! Thanks also for another great video.

Ooooo, My Word, Had I not been watching our dearest Claire, I would’ve not come aboard your awesome page. I literally learned 5 new things from this video. I will have 2goback and look at all the Q&A, as I have many myself. I just loooved everything about this video.
  • Oh you crack me up Wendy. The cable 😂😂😂 The mixer cleaning 😂 then the spill. I literally found out about doming & alcohol spills myself yesterday & tried using a stick also. What a mess. Thanks for an informative & hilarious tutorial. ❤
  • One tip I have seen to make waterslide pictures pop on a non-white background is to make a solid version of the picture, probably by slicing in design space, to back the picture with. To get it to work in tray style molds you might have to make the whole piece, then vinyl, then waterslide, and finally top coat it. Hope that makes some sense, since I have only seen it done when making tumblers and not actually done it myself!

I adore the dragons, the horses and faces are very nice but my favourite is the wolf and the galaxy. I'm just a sucker for space and galaxy themed things.
  • @jennierenzi8739
❤them all. Your attention to color and style are second to none

I've just used regular photos and sealed them with modge podge then put them in. Works pretty good since I don't have a printer. 😊
  • @Gulma68
All very beautiful, and the little dragons are a love. 😍💜

Hi Wendy, a little tip on those pesky edges on transparent prints: first lay the print on a white transparent silicone mat and cover with a thin layer of UV resin making sure to cover the edges, not having a too big overflow of resin to the edges so that the image will still fit into the mold and then cure, then place your image into the mold and by magic the edges will disappear once castend into the mold.
