You got to be strong and agile to skateboard. Sports is sports not just basketball, baseball. I love those who skateboard. Have fun, and all success gentlemen. Very proud of you all. ♥

Discrimination and hypocrisy are bad... be yourself. One love.

I'm 3rd generation Dogg town skater/Surfer and black. I started skating at 8 years of age in the 80s and met several black skaters from Watts, Compton and South Central Los Angeles.

I would also like to see black girls skateboard, too.

I really don't think there is racism in the skateboarding world (as portrayed in this documentary). I've been skateboarding since 1998 (likely before people featured in this documentary were born). If you look at the videos from back then and earlier, you can see lots of diversity. Do you think white kids cared that Kareem Campbell, Keenan Milton, and Stevie Willams were black? No, we put their posters on our walls and tried to pop tricks like them. Skateboarding has always drawn a diverse group of people, and skateboarders generally accept anyone with the same passion. I'd bet there is way more discrimination or racism committed by NON-SKATEBOARDERS than actual skateboarders. We just want to skate. The more the merrier. Who cares about skin color, sex, culture? Back in the day, lots of regular folks spit, swore, and called the police on skateboarders just for holding a skateboard. It wasn't because of our skin color. Some people back then just didn't like skateboarders, and to me, that's the real discrimination. Check the comedic Nike Skateboarding commercials from the early 2000s. It was literally like that for all skateboarders. Keep skating, gang!

Y’all pushing racism so hard lol. Everyone skates. This is a known fact. Many black pro skaters exist and have existed for some time.
