For some reason any videos about history of black metal you see these days claim “unusual song structures” 🤨. It’s always been mostly - intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, some sort of interlude or rarely a solo, chorus twice, outro 🤷🏻♂️

Mayhem was my first black metal band with beherit, still one of my favourite bands of all time.

ppl who started playing Black Metal with the corpse paint then later stopped wearing it because of it becoming a "trend" shows within it's own genre how much of a trend it actually is& how they see it's irrelevance to Black Metal. i understand doing things out of spite for the masses& unoriginal thought processes but you abandon the origins& importance of an aspect of something when you do that.
