My grandmother was born in Springfield township n 1889. This would have occurred when she was a little girl. She is buried in Zion Hill PA.
  • Great story. I am a descendent of Richard and Marjorie Hough of Lancaster they came over on the ship The Endeavor. Stories of this area have always intrigued me as that’s where my mothers family first settled.
  • Interesting story, my ancestors lived in Plumstead in 1749 before leaving for Washington County. My 6th great grandfather died in Plumstead but I haven’t been able to locate his burial.
