If I have learned anything about planting onions, it's that I never seem to plant enough. Each year I think, "that's too many," and each year so far, I have been wrong. Then again, that statement may be true about everything I grow... I hope I never find the limit!
  • @barco581
Great to see you are starting seeds already. Here is to a great 2023 growing season to all!
  • I love this video. I love how I don’t have to watch an hour of video because You do such a great job of great information in a very short time. Great job!
  • I am in Antigua in the Caribbean and after watching your video last season I decided to grow onions for the first time and ordered my Short Day onion seeds. Here we go. I pray for success.

Watching your videos have helped me finally figure out how to plant onions. This is my first year trying to garden and for some reason onions were confusing me!
  • @Mammafly
This is the best and clearest instructional video about onions I’ve ever seen!! Thank you!
  • @YACABE
I was stressing out how I'm going to plant 200 onions in my small raised bed garden. But now I'm going to interplant them with my peppers!
  • @daranall4949
Thank you so much for such a well done video of the how and the why of planting. It really makes a gardener feel more confident to plant these!
  • Super comprehensive. Learned great things regarding fertilizing and why seeds may be a better option. Have some sets and some seeds will see how it goes because like you said, seeds are a cheaper option. Thanks!
  • Excited to start my onions soon and use these tips. Have only used sets before so I'm very curious how they will differ.
  • @lesliep7805
This is an awesome video, new gardener here and unknowingly started my seeds about Jan 10th... Great guidance on what I need to do going forward.
  • @hyacinthABC
Your presentation is so clear, organized and concise that anyone can feel empowered to try new things and be successful! I love how you explain just enough of the science to tell us why we're doing something but not so much that we get bogged down in TMI. 👍
  • @jewelweed7427
Thanks for the onion info! Love all your gardening videos.
  • Great video. I'm at 35 degrees latitude (southern Tennessee) and even though I got some decent onions, I really want to go to the next step. My biggest mistake last year: I planted too late. Started my seeds indoors in Feb I think.
