Welcome to another CCNA 200-301 lab tutorial! In this video, we'll guide you through the process of configuring and verifying Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) on Cisco devices.

LLDP is a vendor-neutral protocol that helps network devices advertise their identity, capabilities, and neighbors on a local network.

We'll start with a brief introduction to LLDP, explaining what it is and how it works.

Next, we'll demonstrate how to enable LLDP on your devices, configure its parameters, and ensure it's operational.

We'll also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using LLDP. Throughout the video, we'll cover key configuration commands, including how to:

Enable LLDP globally and on specific interfaces.
Verify LLDP status and neighbor information.
Interpret detailed LLDP neighbor information for effective network management.

By the end of this tutorial, you'll have the knowledge to configure LLDP in your network, verify its operation, and utilize the information it provides for better network topology mapping and management.

Whether you're studying for your CCNA certification or looking to deepen your understanding of network access technologies, this lab provides invaluable practical experience and insights.

Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more tutorials and valuable insights to enhance your networking skills!

In this lab, you will learn:
1- Understand the basics of Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) and its role in network management.
2- Enable LLDP globally on Cisco devices and configure LLDP on specific interfaces to enable transmission and reception of LLDP advertisements.
3- Use commands to verify the operational status of LLDP on your network devices.
4- Retrieve and interpret neighbor information discovered through LLDP.

Lab Objective:
Our objective is to configure and verify Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) on Cisco switches and routers. We will:
Enable LLDP Globally: Activate LLDP on the network devices.
Configure LLDP on Interfaces: Set up LLDP to transmit and receive on specific interfaces.
Verify LLDP Configuration: Check the LLDP status and verify the neighbors' information.
Analyse LLDP Information: Use LLDP data to understand the network topology and device capabilities.
By the end of this lab, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to configure LLDP, verify its operation, and use it for effective network discovery and management.
